The ISCRE Young Leaders Programme is a five week development initiative run by Ipswich and Suffolk Council for Racial Equality (ISCRE) and commissioned by Suffolk Assembly of the Youth, aimed at engaging and educating young people (aged 16+) about the criminal justice system; most specifically police powers and young people’s stop and search rights.
At the end of the programme, young people will have the confidence to be actively involved in leading the Stop and Search Reference Group(s). Ultimately, the participation and contribution from young people will become an integral part of ISCRE in regards to how the organisation is directed.
